Shoalhaven City Turf Club Presented With Defibrillator

On Sunday the Member for Kiama, Gareth Ward, presented Shoalhaven City Turf Club with an automated external defibrillator.

Funds towards the purchase of the defibrillaor were secured by the Club through the NSW Government's Office of Sport's "Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program".

SCTC's Chairman, Michael Martin, and CEO, Lynn Locke, accepted the defibrillator from Gareth Ward [pictured].

"This is a great asset to have at the Club, not only for racedays, but any time when the premises are being used and for events," said Lynn Locke.

"We want to thank Gareth Ward for his continued support and to the NSW Government for making this funding available to all sports clubs that wish to apply."

SCTC's staff will now be trained in the use of the defibrillator.
