Sapphire Coast Track Update (Racing Thursday)

Racing NSW Stewards have completed their track inspection of Sapphire Coast at 3pm (Wednesday) ahead of the race meeting to be conducted on Thursday (27th October).

The track has improved during the course of the day but it remains a Heavy 10 with the forecast for the chance of up to 3mm for the remainder of Wednesday.

As such, Stewards will conduct a further track inspection at 6:15am tomorrow along with a track gallop.

TRAVEL
Should the race meeting proceed following tomorrow’s track inspection, Tathra Road at Jellat Flats (between Bega and Kalaru) is currently closed due to flooding.

For those travelling south along the Coast on the Princes Highway, should the road remain closed tomorrow, the advice is to allow additional travel time to take the diversion through Bermagui.

For those travelling from Canberra and surrounding regions, again the advice is you will need to factor in additional travelling time to take a diversion through Merimbula.

Please check Live Traffic NSW for the latest updates in respect to the status of Tathra Road (Jellat Flats) prior to travelling.
