Sapphire Coast Meeting Leads In To Moruya Country Championships

Sapphire Coast Turf Club's race meeting on Monday 20th February will serve as the perfect lead-in to the Newhaven Park Country Championships held at Moruya just on a fortnight later on Sunday 5th March.

"We'll have the running rail moved out about five metres to ensure they are running on a fresh pad of grass," said Robert Tweedie, SCTC's CEO.

"This follows the busy two-day carnival in late January where we received a few showers of rain at the back end of the carnival.

"The surface is sensational and we've put on a program that leads into Moruya's Country Championships so we should end up with strong race fields for guys running into that Championships meeting."
