Dubbo trainer Brett Robb will head to Narromine on Sunday confident he can break the maiden status with promising galloper Micro Mikki in The Australian Lighthorse C,G&E Maiden Plate (1100m).
Micro Mikki was formerly prepared by Ciaron Maher and has easily won a trial leading into this return to racing.
“He’s a promising horse that has shown plenty of talent in his career,” said Robb.

“He ran second at his latest start before he came to me and he’s a horse that I have a lot of time for.”
Robb will have a two-pronged attack on the Narromine Hardware F&M Maiden Plate (1100m) with Imastatement and Harrietier set to run with Clayton Gallagher and Shayleigh Ingelse set to take the respective rides.
Robb also has two starters in The Courthouse Hotel Country Boosted Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100m) in the shape of Rothgate (Tilly McCarroll) and D’Arpano (Ingelse).
“Micro Mikki looks to be the best chance of my runners,” said Robb.
“He’s a horse that has shown talent and he should be able to go on with the job.”
Robb said that while Micro Mikki is his best chance of the day, he still thinks that Harrietier and Imastatement can both figure prominently in their events.
“Harrietier resumes from a spell and has looked good winning a trial leading into this,” said Robb.
“And Imastatement went down narrowly at her second start in a race at Dubbo. She has shown enough to be rated a leading chance.”
Robb has two McCarroll and Ingelse mounts set make an impact in their events.
“Rothgate was a good winner at Wellington and then ran well again when a last start third at Mudgee,” Robb said.
“D’Arpano has also been racing in good form, and she was close-up at Dubbo at her latest start.
“If she can run up to that again then she’ll be in the finish again.”
Scone trainer Rodney Northam also has some solid chances engaged to start at Narromine with Chelsea Hillier set to ride Monte Azul in the Narromine Shire Country Boosted Maiden Handicap (1300m) and Mighty Zou in the Three Rivers Machiney Case IH Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1600m).
