Retired Jockeys Reunion Day Planned For Grafton (Sat 31st Aug)

Following the outstanding success of the NSW Retired Jockeys Reunion day at Royal Randwick last Saturday, Clarence River Jockey Club has decided to play host to a similar event at the Grafton race meeting on Saturday 31st August.

CRJC's CEO, Michael Beattie, said: “It was clear from the photos on the web that many jockeys had a great day catching up with old mates from years gone by.

“Sadly there are too many riders that when they retire from the game, lose contact with their former colleagues and the big roll-up at Randwick shows how much enjoyment one of these days can bring.

"This event is an open invitation to all retired jockeys but especially those from the northern part of the state that have competed in races in the Northern Rivers Area.

"If you are a retired jockey please spread the word as the CRJC would love to see as many old faces as possible at the races again on that day."

For further information or to advise of your intention to attend and to arrange ticketing, please contact CRJC on 02 6642 2566 or email grafton@crjc.com.au

See you at Grafton on Saturday 31st August!
