Leading NSW picnics trainer Connie Greig now has the top two horses in the point score for the 2024/25 NSW Picnic Champion Series.
Greig's six-year-old mare Real Salty moved up to 20 points following her win in the Open Trophy (1100m) at Harden last Saturday when ridden by Todd Bailey ($4).
The mare had a half length to spare over Litvyak (Izzy Neale, $9) with favourite Puerto Rico (Emily Waters, $2.10) a similar margin back to third.
Real Salty joins stablemate and cult favourite Billy Bent Ear on 20 points and they are clear of Fabulous Choice and Namarari on 14 points.
The feature event, the Harden Picnic Cup (1400m) was taken out by Titled Tycoon (Tony Williams, $4.80) for Scone trainer Rodney Northam.
The next chance to earn points will be at BONG BONG PICNICS on Saturday 22nd November.
