Racing NSW Monitoring Hot Weather Forecasts

Racing NSW has transferred Sunday's Grafton meeting to COFFS HARBOUR due to the forecast weather of 41 degrees celsius at Grafton on Sunday.

The predicted forecast for Coffs Harbour on Sunday is currently 33 degrees celsius.

As a result, the following race distance amendments apply:

Class 2 Handicap (was 1700m) - now 1600m
Class 1 Handicap (was 1100m) - now 1000m
Class 1 & Maiden Plate (was 2200m) - now 2100m
Maiden Plate (was 1100m) - now 1000m
Maiden Handicap (was 1700m) - now 1600m

The rail will be in the TRUE position the entire circuit with barrier limits unchanged.

There is also the forecast of temperatures of 41 degrees celsius at Wagga Wagga on Saturday (28th November).

Racing NSW is presently monitoring weather forecasts. In the event that the forecast does not improve, the race meeting will be commenced earlier with the final race to be held just after 3pm.

Racing NSW is also monitoring temperature forecasts for other venues over the weekend and at this stage, the meetings will proceed as planned.
