Fall For Cindy went to a new level at Scone on Saturday in the feature Group 3 Dark Jewel Classic over 1400m and relished the high-pressure event.
The race was run at a fast tempo, with Punter's Intelligence recording leader Short Shorts running the first 1000m in 58.67.
Fall For Cindy was run to suit, but she had to make her run through the inferior ground and accelerated past her rivals with the lightweight running her final 400m/200m in 23.11/11.90.
She is a four-year-old mare in career-best form and can go on with it now.
Banana Queen was honest in defeat and loomed to win, clocking 11.26 for her 400m-200m split but peaked late. She is now ready to win third-up.
Shadows Of Love was brave in defeat after being posted out on a limb throughout, and Overriding had genuine excuses after being checked/blocked at key stages.
Elettrica had too much to do from the wide draw and flashed home to run the second-fastest final 600m race split in 34.68.
Lazzura was impressive in the Woodlands Stakes (1100m) and made it back-to-back wins.
The lightly raced two-year-old wasn't suited to the race shape but showed the key attributes of adaptability and acceleration.
She showed a sharp turn of foot, and the clock backed up her visual strength. Further, the filly ran the ninth fastest final 600m in 33.82. Expect her to only improve with maturity and experience.
NZ import Unusual Legacy is in his second Australian preparation under the guidance of Chris Waller, and his win had merit in the Benchmark 78 event over 1700m.
He had to overcome difficulties in the straight, but he responded under pressure when challenged, and his last few bounds were strong.
His final 200m in 12.00 was solid, and he outstayed his rivals. He can only step again and is still not at his peak.
Perfect Play is ready to win third-up over more ground, and he had no luck, but once clear over the final furlong, he hit the line hard, running 11.97 for that section.
Dollar Magic finally broke through for a well-deserved win and was heavily backed late in the trade.
The mare raced wide throughout in a fast tempo, sprinted hard and ran a slick overall time of 1:03.92.
With a strong sample size over the 1100m and after adjustments for age, class, and additional factors, the race rated extremely well relative to the day.
Nothing went right for favourite Legio Ten, and he got too far back, had to make his run through the inferior ground and still ran the fifth fastest final 600m split of the meeting in 33.69.
Two hidden runs in the Benchmark 72 assignment over 1300m were Bojangles and Need Some Luck.
Bojangles is racing much better than the form guide suggests. He had the pace against but had no luck in the straight.
Once clear, he surged to the line and ran the meeting's second-fast final 200m sectional.
Need Some Luck raced wide throughout and never looked happy throughout the race. He clocked the race's fastest 600m-200m split in 22.52 and peaked late after exerting that energy.
He can bounce back with a more positive race setup next start.
Fastest Last 600m: Iowna Merc 33.41
