Port Macquarie Races Today - Postponed

Today's Port Macquarie race meeting has been postponed.

Racing NSW Stewards inspected the surface following a track gallop and called the meeting off due to the state of the track.

Continuing rainfall in the days leading up to the scheduled fixture left no alternative but to cancel the race meeting.

Almost 300mls of rain fell on the north coast circuit over the last month and hopes were eventually dashed when further showers arrived on already saturated ground over the weekend.

The next race meeting to be conducted at Port Macquarie is on Sunday 19th June with Wauchope Jockey Club hosting a day of showcase racing highlighted by the $40,000 Wauchope Cup and their $30,000 feature sprint.

Port Macquarie Race Club has a meeting scheduled for Saturday 2nd July with a six-race program offering $90,000 in overall prizemoney.
