Shoalhaven City Turf Club’s Nowra Racecourse will be a sea of pink on Sunday with the ‘Pink Up Berry Raceday’ featuring the Mollymook Cup.
“This is always a popular day on our racing calendar,” said SCTC’s CEO, Paul Weekes.
“It’s a pink-themed day with most of the crowd dressing up in pink which is also the theme for the Fashions on the Field.
“All gate proceeds are donated to the McGrath Foundation, and we will also be holding memorial races for former committeemen Michael Locke and Eddie Latta, as well as iconic local trainer Bede Murray.
“There will be a free jumping castle and train rides for the kids, a TAB and bookmakers, as well as a free bus from Berry with gates opening at 12:30pm.”

Also on Sunday, Racing Orange will be getting into the pink theme with their Central West Young Aggies Raceday.
“To celebrate the contributions rural women make to our community, we have decided our Fashions on the Field theme will be a touch of pink,” said Racing Orange’s executive officer, Bree McMinn. "We can’t wait to see everyone in their gorgeous race wear.
“The day is also supported by Australian National Field Days which is the oldest annual agricultural exhibition in the country, established in 1952.”
More than 600 exhibitors travel to the Borenore site – 15km west of Orange, NSW – to display their products and services during the three-day event held this year from 26th to 28th October.
