Announcing the appointment, Port Macquarie Race Club's president Greg Delaforce said: “Nardi is a highly skilled and motivated individual who has strong racing and administrative knowledge and will work in an efficient manner to build on the outstanding foundation provided by previous CEO, Michael Bowman.
“All in racing would like to thank Michael for his wonderful service in a period stretching well over thirty years and wish the next chapter of his life will feature good health and happiness.”
Beresford was chosen following a comprehensive selection process and the club is extremely confident she has the necessary attributes and organisational skills to provide continued success for the organisation.
Reflecting on her appointment, Nardi said: “I am honoured and excited to be selected as CEO of Port Macquarie Race Club in the next chapter of its evolution.
“Racing is the heart and soul of this area, and I will work extremely hard and utilise the wonderful trackside facilities on offer to present the best show possible and explore ways to improve and expand into the future.
“There are so many wonderful racing participants and supporters in this area, and I will consult widely and work diligently with everyone heading in the same direction for further success.”
The club is also delighted to welcome Justin Wren in the role of administrative officer and encourage everyone to support the new team for positive and favourable results moving forward.
