Narromine Hosting Racing Mates R U OK Raceday (Thurs 15th Sept)

Narromine Turf Club is proudly supporting the work of R U OK Day and Racing Mates at its next race meeting on Thursday, 15th September 2022.

Participants are encouraged attend and ‘check in’ on each other on the day.

“Whether they're going through something big, something small, or maybe nothing at all, your support can help. Your conversation could change a life,” said Racing Mates with ambassador, Pat Webster.

Narromine Turf Club will host a Racing Mates BBQ ‘Get-Together’ for participants on the day with Pat Webster in attendance.

“Racing Mates is proud to support Narromine Turf Club with its great initiative of hosing an R U OK Day race meeting,” Webster said.

“We thank the club also for providing the BBQ for racing participants on the day which brings the community together for a chat which has proven to be very effective.”

Racing Mates is a peer support initiative established by Racing NSW, empowering mates to look out for mates.

Research has found that effective support offered from peers and colleagues can aid significantly in coping with stress and difficult situations.

The BBQ will be held for participants from 11am in the raceday stalls area of Narromine Turf Club on Dappo Road, Narromine. Further information about Racing Mates and its Ambassadors can be found online at racingmates.com.au
