Brett won the Country Championships Final with Sizzle Minizzle and his stable jockey are in the zone running the quinella in Saturday’s TAB Highway at Rosehill Gardens with speedster Wilbury and Gallant Star.

At the regionals, Lundholm and his comeback apprentice Ronald Simpson are having similar success.

Brewarrina’s Simpson was indentured for a time in Sydney, returned home, spent time out injured, and eventually linked with Lundholm where the winners are regular.

“I just wasn’t getting the opportunities in Sydney and Dubbo is a lot closer to home and family,” Ronald explained.

Lundholm said: “Ronald’s a really capable young rider, happy back here riding winners and more opportunities.

"We’re driving home from Narromine now, took a couple there to help assess the track rating,” he explained.

“Soft five but hot weather so it’ll get an upgrade to good. Ronald’s a strong chance on Hallowed Star, it and Tupou are my best for the day.”

Hallowed Star ($6.50 on TAB) contests the Queb Agri BM 58, 1300m with 59kg less Ronald’s 1.5kg claim.

“Lightly raced with genuine upside - the 1100m at Wellington didn’t really suit first-up off a trial, they went too quick for him and got too far back.

“He's out in distance, fitter and drawn inside.”

Six-race winner Tupou ($34) a new stable addition, contests the Three Rivers Machinery case IH BM 68, 1100m with 59kg for Jake Pracy-Holmes.

“He compiled a really good record with Paul Perry, we’re getting the miles into his legs, improved third-up for us and probably has raced in better grade.”

Robb has strong chances with Rothgate ($1.75 favourite) in the fourth event and Din ($3.50) in race six.

At present Narromine is a Soft 5 in fine weather with an upgrade anticipated.
