Race 1 - 12:50PM CLEANPEAK ENERGY 3YO & UP MAIDEN PLATE (1000 METRES)

5. Rail Trail was midfield on debut at Bairnsdale back in September and was then spelled. He since joined a new stable and had two trials before resuming with a solid second at Scone when only going down narrowly. He shows talent and looks to have the ability to break through with a win here. 4. Navy Steel was just behind the placings in both starts in December and has won a Scone trial leading into this return to racing. He looms as a leading contender. 8. Curly Bend has only been placed in one of five starts but hasn’t been too far away in any of her other runs. She can sneak into the placings here. 10. Star Chic had two starts at Albury back in July and August last year but resumes here and is capable of improving.

Race 2 - 1:30PM KFC ZINGER BENCHMARK 66 SHOWCASE HANDICAP (900 METRES)

9. Close My Eyes won at Gunnedah then ran second before finishing sixth at Tamworth when last produced. He should strip fitter for this. 8. Cumboogle is resuming from a spell and looked good in a recent trial leading into this. 5. Small Town wasn’t beaten far when a last start third at Tamworth and has claims. 1. Dubbo Wanderer was placed at Quirindi two starts ago then wasn’t disgraced when leading at Dubbo and finishing sixth. He can be placed here.

Race 3 - 2:05PM FEDERAL HOTEL SUPER MAIDEN SHOWCASE PLATE (1400 METRES)

2. Harry Tudor has been placed in seven of 12 starts and has been in the money in each of three runs back from a spell. This looks an ideal race to break through in. 7. Devils Daughter is first-up and wasn’t disgraced in city company before the break. 3. Wolf Club battled on well enough at Coonamble last time out to be rated a chance. 10. Little Girl is having her first run for a new stable and was placed at Bathurst at just her second start. She shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Race 4 - 2:40PM WESTERN TRUCK GROUP BM58 SHOWCASE HANDICAP (1700 METRES)

4. Mrs Bull doesn’t win often but she has been racing well and went down narrowly when second to stablemate Laisvas last time out. 10. Rich Street was placed in a couple before scoring a strong win at Coonamble last time out. 1. To Be Frank was a winner at Quirindi before being beaten just over three lengths behind Laisvas at Coonamble. 7. Sian has been down on form in recent outings but bobs up every now and again and he could sneak into the placings.

Race 5 - 3:15PM WELLINGTON SOLDIERS MEMORIAL CLUB TOWN PLATE (1100 METRES)

5. The Hanger Cat ran second at Doomben before a spell and resumed with a solid fourth at Scone. 6. Wilbury has won three of his past four and warrants plenty of thought again, while 8. Stratified has been racing well and can figure prominently again after a win and a second at his latest two starts. 7. Smart And Dapper finished fourth when last produced at Dubbo and has a solid enough overall record to be rated a chance here.

Race 6 - 3:55PM GRAND HOTEL & BOTTLE SHOP WELLINGTON CUP (1700 METRES)

2. Cliff House is a talented performed at best and has had two runs back from a spell and been placed in each of them, the latest in the National Sprint at Canberra. He looks suited by the step in distance here and only needs a genuine tempo to be a factor. 5. Don Pedro won two in a row at Warwick Farm before finishing fourth on the Kensington track in his latest two starts, while. 6. Aimpoint has been racing in career best form and should be worth plenty of thought again. 7. Oakfield Prince scored a strong victory at Wyong last time out and looks to be racing well enough to give this a shake.

Race 7 - 4:30PM WELLINGTON SOLDIERS MEMORIAL CLUB WELLINGTON BOOT (1100M)

14. Try Me is on debut but has shown talent having had two trials for a close-up effort on the Beaumont track and a win at Muswellbrook. She’s drawn well and run boldly. 5. Alabama Charm took on the Gimcrack on debut when safely held but has since been placed in two runs at Newcastle and Gosford. She’s a leading chance in this. 2. Invincible Phantom won two trials before debuting with a strong fourth on the Kensington track. 7. Bravalatante has had three starts and wasn’t disgraced in the latest of them at Scone. She can run into the placings.

Race 8 - 5:05PM LSS LOCKSMITH & SECURITY SOLUTIONS CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1100M)

1. Commandoro is rarely too far away and warrants respect. 7. Truth I Fear has only won the one race from 16 starts but has had seven placings and is drawn to get a good run here. 13. Miss Piera was just behind the placings at Gunnedah at her latest start and could get into the placings against these without surprising. 6. Star Intrigue is first-up from a spell and ran well when finishing third before the break.
