(Selections based on a good track)
Race 1 - 1:35PM IDEAL CONDITIONS MAIDEN HANDICAP (1010 METRES): |

3. Full Of Euro had two trials prior to making his debut at Coonabarabran just over a year ago. He finished midfield in that run and was immediately spelled. He’s had a recent trial at Dubbo in preparation for this return to racing and has drawn well.
Dangers: 5. Caranna Anne ran her best race yet when finishing second at Dubbo three starts back then was down the track in two runs before being spelled. She resumes here and can show up fresh. 2. Swilken Bridge was placed at Narromine last time out after leading and a repeat of that would have him figuring prominently here. 10. No Pockets has been placed in three of 11 starts and is not the worst here.
How to play it: Full Of Euro EACH WAY.
Race 2 - 2:10PM INLAND DIGITAL BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1610 METRES): |
---|
3. Avalicious was a winner at Wellington four starts ago then only battled in a couple of starts before showing improvement with a last start second at Dubbo. She has a handy overall record and was scratched at Gilgranda on Sunday in order to be saved for this.
Dangers: 4. Weave That Web was a winner at Warren when resuming and backed that up with a second at Dubbo. She should be in the finish again here. 9. World Atlas was a winner here two runs ago then finished third at Warren as favourite. She warrants respect here. 10. Kiss The Outcast has had two starts back from a spell and should be primed to run well in this.
How to play it: Avalicious WIN.
Race 3 - 2:45PM PIRTEK CLASS 2 HANDICAP- HEAT OF THE RISING STAR (1410 METRES): |
---|
1. Merisi is resuming from a spell here and is a two-time winner from 10 starts. He scored impressively at Bathurst two starts back and was spelled following a down the track effort at Warwick Farm against better company than he meets here.
Dangers: 3. Elson Boy was a winner at this track last campaign then resumed from a spell with a midfield Narromine effort before winning at Dubbo last time out. He can give cheek again here. 2. East Harlem was outclassed in Highway grade two start back then was midfield at Bathurst. He could figure in the placings here. 8. Inessa was placed behind Elson Boy at her latest start and bears close watching again.
How to play it: Merisi WIN.
Race 4 - 3:25PM CENTRAL WEST POWER CONSTRUCTION C1 HCP (1010 METRES): |
---|
1. Line Of Law has had three starts since resuming from a spell and she hasn’t been beaten far in any of them. She was placed at this track when resuming then finished just behind the placings at Nowra and Queanbeyan. She looks suited in this.
Dangers: 6. Kelilah is resuming from a spell on the back of a couple trials and she was a winner on debut at Wagga earlier in the year. 2. That’s Better ran well enough when resuming with a second at Bathurst then was midfield at this track. Place claims look best here. 11. Summer Promise is resuming and has looked good enough in a couple of recent trials to be considered a chance.
How to play it: Line Of Law WIN.
Race 5 - 4:05PM MCSIGNS ORANGE MAIDEN PLATE (1410 METRES): |
---|
5. Money Wheel is only lightly raced with just the two starts to his name. He ran second at Bathurst on debut then started favourite at this track when finishing third. He can be a factor in this.
Dangers: 6. Resurrected was placed at Canberra when resuming then was midfield on the Beaumont track at Newcastle. A bold showing here would not surprise. 8. Brisket comes into this out of the same race as Money Wheel in which she finished second and her previous form in harder company was sound. 1. Bulla Vinaka has been just behind the placings in each of his three starts and could sneak into the minor money.
How to play it: Money Wheel WIN.
Race 6 - 4:40PM ON-TRAC AG CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1290 METRES): |
---|
3. No Second Thoughts started favourite at Bathurst on debut on the strength of some good barrier trials and she ran well to finish third after leading when starting favourite. She since went to Nowra and did the job well to score a strong win when leading throughout.
Dangers: 4. Candid was midfield at this track when last produced when she ran home well from a long way back. She could be thereabouts with a repeat effort. 5. Poppy’s Girl beat hie Candid when they clashed last time out so warrants respect on the strength of that. 9. War Toy was placed last tie out and while his previous form was patchy, he has some minor claims here.
How to play it: No Second Thoughts WIN.
Race 7 - 5:15PM KENNARDS HIRE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1010 METRES): |
---|
10. Desperately was a winner at Taree midway through the year then finished second at Scone before tackling city company and being far from disgraced when midfield at Randwick. She’s had two trials leading into this first-up run.
Dangers: 1. Brief Statement is resuming from a spell and has three wins and eight placings from just 16 starts. She’s won twice over this distance and bears close watching while fresh. 5. As You Were is resuming from a spell for a new stable and has shown glimpses of ability in his career. 6. Own The Night is resuming from a spell here on the back of a solid trial and warrants some thought on his best form.
How to play it: Desperately WIN.
Race 8 - 5:50PM TAMBURLAINE WINES COUNTRY BOOSTED BM 58 HCP (1290 METRES): |
---|
6. Mike has struck winning form of late, scoring two wins from his last three starts, with both being at this track. He only needs to run up to those efforts to be a leading contender in this.
Dangers: 4. Ida’s Rules was a winner at this track three starts ago then tackled Highway grade when midfield at Rosehill. She since finished midfield at Bathurst and is worth thought in this company. 1. Brogans Creek battled on well at Bathurst when last produced and should not be taken lightly again in this. 8. Miss Stalwart has won her past two starts at Canberra and Queanbeyan and there’s no reason she can’t make an impact again.
How to play it: Mike EACH WAY.
Best Bets:
Race 4 (1) Line Of Law.
Race 6 (3) No Second Thoughts.
Best Value:
Race 8 (6) Mike.
