Selections based on a good track
Race 1 - 1:55PM BEDE MURRAY MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1400 METRES) |

1. Draco’s Fire has a good record having only missed a place twice from his eight starts. He’s had three starts back from a spell and was placed at Hawkesbury when resuming before a close-up fifth at Newcastle and a third at Newcastle behind Evenflow. He should benefit from the apprentice allowance here and take plenty of beating.
Dangers: 5. The Gift was placed at Goulburn before finishing a close-up sixth at Kembla Grange when beaten less than two lengths. 6. Pressilly has hit her straps of late winning two in a row at Moruya and this looks well within her reach as well. 4. Canadian Express was placed at Goulburn last time out and should show up again here with a repeat of that.
How to play it: Draco’s Fire WIN.
Race 2 - 2:30PM BERIHURIKARI COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE (1100 METRES) |

12. Chemtrail is in the strong Danny Williams stable and is a three-year-old gelding on debut here. He’s had one barrier trial and that resulted in a win at Goulburn. Nick Heywood was in the saddle in that hitout and he sticks with the galloper in this event. He is primed for a bold showing.
Dangers: 10. Shalmum was resuming from a spell at Moruya when last produced and was doing her best work late when third as favourite. She should be better for that hitout and gets a chance to break through here. 13. Der Blaue Reiter debuted with a midfield effort at Goulburn and should have derived benefit from that. 8. The Main Event disappointed at Moruya last time out but is capable of improvement.
How to play it: Chemtrail WIN.
Race 3 - 3:05PM MICHAEL "MICK" LOCKE MEMORIAL BM58 HANDICAP (1600 METRES) |

6. Outcast Girl scored a strong win in maiden grade at Newcastle in May and followed that up with a fifth at Hawkesbury before tackling city grade and finishing down the track at Randwick. She was spelled after a fourth at Goulburn and had two trials before resuming with a fifth at Newcastle as favourite. She rises in distance for this and gets her chance to break through with another win.
Dangers: 2. Spritely Emily was racing in good form winning two in a row at Moruya before not being beaten too far when unplaced there last time out. She can show up again. 4. Cicada was a winner at Scone at his second start and resumed from a spell with a seventh at Newcastle. He needs to improve on that but he is capable. 7. Doola Teela won at Goulburn narrowly two starts ago before a solid effort at Warwick Farm when sixth. She’s racing well enough to make an impact here.
How to play it: Outcast Girl WIN.
Race 4 - 3:40PM AIS CERTIFIERS MAIDEN PLATE (1400 METRES) |

12. Walk Like A Man has only had the two starts and finished fourth in each of them at Kembla Grange. He started favourite in the latest of them and was beaten just over two lengths. Thet form looks good for a race like this.
Dangers: 13. Cashburn has had two starts and has finished fourth in each of them. She hasn’t been beaten far in either of them and should give plenty of cheek in this. 3. O’Explosive was resuming when beaten less than a length into fifth at Newcastle and he only needs to run up to that to be rated a chance against these. 9. Black Bugatti was placed at Goulburn before a solid enough effort at Warwick Farm and he could show up without surprising.
How to play it: Walk Like A Man WIN.
Race 5 - 4:20PM BROUGHTON LANDSCAPES MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES) |
---|
11. Invincible Duchess is on debut and has been fitted for this with two barrier trials. She wasn’t beaten far when fourth in the first of them at Canterbury and then won the latest of them at Randwick. She looks to have the ability to give this a shake.
Dangers: 8. Miss Kim Kar was down the track on debut at Hawkesbury before running second at Orange. This isn’t overly tough and she looms as a chance. 4. Vassos is on debut but has had a number of trials and is primed to run well. 12. Shoebill is also on debut. She hasn’t beaten a runner home in two trials but hasn’t been beaten far and warrants respect.
How to play it: Invincible Duchess WIN.
Race 6 - 4:55PM CKB CIVIL MOLLYMOOK CUP - BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP (1200 METRES) |

11. Cani Cancan was a winner at the Sapphire Coast in February then was midfield in two starts at Kembla Grange and Wagga before being spelled. She is a recent trial winner at Kembla Grange and looks set to run well despite having a wide barrier to contend with.
Dangers: 4. Calmer Karma failed to fire at Hawkesbury before starting favourite at Cootamundra when not beaten too far into seventh placing. He has a handy record at his best and shouldn’t be underestimated. 8. Nettles has won two of her seven starts and ran well enough when fifth at Kembla Grange when resuming. She is worth plenty of thought here. 13. Siovy Dane resumed with a second placing at Newcastle and should be in thick of things again with a repeat of that effort.
How to play it: Cani Cancan EACH WAY.
Race 7 - 5:35PM TURFCO EDDIE LATTA MEMORIAL CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1200 METRES) |

1. Commandoro had been racing well with a couple of placings before breaking through with a strong maiden victory at Moruya when last produced. He carries the same weight in this event and has drawn ideally in gate three.
Dangers: 3. Sir Lunchalots was an impressive debut winner at Goulburn before failing to fire at the same track at his second start He is worth forgiving for that run and given another chance against these. 7. Laguna Seca won at the Sapphire Coast before being spelled and resumed with a third at Moruya. 6. Woodzy was placed at Goulburn before a midfield effort there last time out. He can show up here if he can run up to those efforts.
How to play it: Commandoro WIN.
