2. Malinga Missile is on debut here and comes into this on the back of a solid trial when finishing second at Queanbeyan. He looks to have the talent to make an impact here in what isn’t a strong race. 7. Pleasurize is also on debut and has had a number of trials, running second in the latest of them at Orange. She gets her chance to show up against these. 8. She’s Hellbent failed to beat a runner home on debut at the Sapphire Coast, but she can lift on that performance, while 1. Sir Franklin ran a solid second when he was on debut at the Sapphire Coast when big odds, and a repeat of that would have him in the finish of this.
How to play it: Malinga Missile WIN.
Race 2 - 2:11PM MAL GILHAM BUILDING AND DESIGN MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES) |
---|
4. Puzzle Dragon is on debut and is from the strong Matthew Dale stable and has Nick Heywood in the saddle. He’s had a couple of trials spaced over a couple of years when in the care of Nathan Doyle and bears close watching in this line-up. 1. Call Me Grouchy has finished second in three of his nine starts and comes into this after a last start Orange placing when starting favourite. This looks within his reach. 9. Lady Yarrow was beaten less than a length on debut when fourth at the Sapphire Coast and is worth thought on that effort, while 10. Luna Lass ran fifth in the same race Lady Yarrow contested last time out and can be placed this time.
How to play it: Puzzle Dragon WIN.
Race 3 - 2:46PM PRETTY VIEW RETREAT MAIDEN HANDICAP (1425 METRES) |

1. Prizuga is on debut for trainer Rob Potter and won a recent Queanbeyan trial leading into this. He has the services of Brodie Loy here and can make a winning impact. 4. Beograd Boy is yet to win from 36 starts but has been racing well of late with a Goulburn placing two starts back and then a fourth at Goulburn. 8. Ideelic hasn’t been far away of late and can figure in the money again. 10. Our Lady Rockstar was midfield at Albury when last produced and her previous form was solid.
How to play it: Prizuga WIN.
Race 4 - 3:25PM BODALLA BOWLING CLUB BODALLA TOWN PLATE BM66 (1010 METRES) |
---|
5. Pretty Vegas went to the front when resuming at Queanbeyan and won by a big margin. She’s drawn wide here but has the pace to overcome that and she should take a power of beating again. 9. Miss Scoop is lightly raced with a good record, and she won well at the Sapphire Coast last time out. 7. Selhurst Park has been racing well and is worth including among the chances, while 6. Zazel will be improved by a first-up fifth at Canberra.
How to play it: Pretty Vegas WIN.
Race 5 - 4:04PM BODALLA PUB VOTED BEST PUB IN BODALLA BM58 (1650 METRES) |

4. Great Week has been back to his best at his last two starts with a placing at Goulburn being followed by a last start win at Queanbeyan when he raced on the speed and managed to score strongly. He only needs to have maintained that form to be hard to hold out again. 3. Artist comes into this on the back of a last start Queanbeyan placing and he has shown glimpses of ability during his career. 6. Miss Defy won well at Parkes two starts ago and then was midfield at Canberra at her latest outing. She can show up here if at her best. 7. Nagadec has only had five starts but has a sound record with a win and two placings. She is a last start Sapphire Coast winner that warrants thought.
How to play it: Great Week WIN.
Race 6 - 4:36PM DRIFTWOOD SHORES TUROSS BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1200 METRES) |
---|
2. Calmer Karma ran well when finishing second at Nowra three runs back, then was down the track at Wagga before a last start fourth at Queanbeyan. He bobs up every now and then and has the benefit of the apprentice claim. 3. Peruno has been racing well enough of late without finishing in the placings at his latest four starts and a forward showing would not surprise. 6. Crucial Witness has been racing well with second placings at Queanbeyan in two of his last three starts. He can be in the finish of this if he can run up to those efforts. 12. Agony Aunt has been performing well in her most recent runs at Queanbeyan, and she looks to have the ability to give this a shake.
How to play it: Calmer Karma WIN.
Race 7 - 5:10PM CLUB TUROSS TUROSS CUP BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP (1425 METRES) |
---|
3. Astunner was placed in the Cowra Cup three starts ago but then failed to make an impact when finishing last in the Bega Cup. He was since midfield at the Sapphire Coast and while his form has been a little down of late, he can make an impact here if anywhere near his best. 8. Spats Pav Bowie has performed well in both runs back from a spell and should be ready to peak now. 9. Good Prize is a last start Queanbeyan winner and also managed to win at the same track three starts ago. He is racing well and looms as a chance again. 7. Lethal Lady was back in winning form when scoring at Wagga when last produced and she can be thereabouts again with a repeat of that.
How to play it: Astunner EACH WAY.
Best Bets:
Race 3 (1) Prizuga.
Race 4 (5) Pretty Vegas.
Best Value:
Race 7 (3) Astunner.
