2. He’s Poplar has only had three starts and ran fourth at Lismore and Grafton at his first two starts before being close-up when second at Grafton at his latest start. He should run well in this.

Dangers: 1. Corvalist has been placed in five of seven starts and resumes from a spell in this. He only needs to run up to his best form to be hard to beat against these. 6. Meghan was placed at Port Macquarie at his latest start and can figure again here if she can run up to that performance. 7. Thrownunderthebus has finished second in each of her two starts back from a spell at this track and Murwillumbah. She’s drawn well and has the ability to run well.

How to play it: He’s Poplar WIN.

3. Discover has had a few chances but hasn’t been disgraced in his most recent runs against better grade than he meets here. He’s been just behind the placings in his latest two starts in metropolitan company in Brisbane and he only needs to maintain that form to be hard to beat.

Dangers: 5. Three Graces has been placed in each of her latest three starts and went down narrowly last time out at Murwillumbah. She should be in the thick of things here. 2. Bologna ran second at Kempsey when last produced and if he can run up to that effort he can figure again here. 10. Preachabull has been placed in two of nine starts and she should run well again in this event.

5. Ausbred Cooee has been racing well with a couple of recent placings at this track and Kempsey at his latest two starts. He has a good record at this track and is racing as though this distance will suit.

Dangers: 2. Giddy Gan’s Joy followed a second at Ipswich with a last start win at Kilcoy. She has a handy enough record to be considered a chance in this field. 1. Mammoth Mountain won at Tamworth two starts ago and then ran second as favourite at this track last time out. This event looks to be within his reach. 7. Crash’n’bash was a winner at this track three starts ago and then ran second at Tamworth before a last start failure here. She can improve here.

How to play it: Ausbred Cooee WIN.

5. I Am Convincing has only won one of his 21 starts but has also been placed in a further seven runs. He hit the line well enough when a last start second at this track despite being well beaten. He’s drawn wide here but should get the chance to hit the line well again.

Dangers: 7. Intoxel has been midfield in her latest two starts after running second in two runs here and at Lismore. She has the ability to run well against these. 1. Desert Mist was midfield at Ipswich when resuming and can be placed again if he can run up to that. 8. Lady Of The Hunter wasn’t beaten far when midfield here last time out and can be placed here if she runs up to that.

How to play it: I Am Convincing EACH WAY.

2. Majorelle has a great record with seven wins and a further six placings to his name from just 19 starts. He won at Ipswich when resuming from a spell before finishing third at Murwillumbah. He scored again at Lismore as a short-priced favourite before a last start fourth at Doomben. He’s drawn wide here but looks to have more upside than his rivals.

Dangers: 11. Single Touch has been racing well and comes into this on the back of a last start second at Ballina. He can show up again here if he can repeat that effort. 8. Lady Tulessa has won three of her last four starts and accounted for Single Touch when last produced. She should take plenty of beating again here. 7. Baronessa has a good record and has won two recent trials in preparation for this first run back from a spell. A bold showing is on the cards.

How to play it: Majorelle WIN.

3. Spring Eagle has shown ability in his career with a win and five minor placings to his name from 16 starts. He went down narrowly when finishing second at Port Macquarie two starts ago and then wasn’t beaten far again when fifth at the same track last time out when only 1.5 lengths from the winner. He should take plenty of beating again.

Dangers: 1. Immortality ran second at Lismore three starts ago and has since been down the track at Doomben and Ipswich but this is easier. 9. Another Wish debuted with a win at this track earlier this month and has drawn to get the run of the race here. 5. Soyouthinkit’sover was midfield at this track two starts ago and then ran second here last time out. He could be placed again.

How to play it: Spring Eagle WIN.

14. Khamis was on debut at this track earlier this month on a heavy track and he did the job well to score a runaway victory by a big margin. She only needs to repeat that effort to be rated the one to beat again.

Dangers: 8. Spiele did the job well to score a last start win at Ballina and only needs to run up to that performance in order to be a chance again here. 9. Dupont has had two runs back from a spell at Ipswich and is showing enough improvement in order to be rated a leading chance here. 16. Vetoed has been just behind the placings in her latest two starts and is not out of this.
