Northern Rivers Chief Steward, Mark Holloway, has reported that racehorse trainer Scott Henley suffered a fall while working one of his horses at Grafton this morning (Wednesday 19th June). Scott is conscious and can feel movement in his feet and toes. He is suffering from back and neck pain and will be transported to Coffs Harbour Hospital for scans.
[Update at 8am on Thursday, 20th June 2019]: Scott's wife has reported he has four broken ribs and a compressed lung. Scott also has numbing pain in his right arm but his spine is OK. Scott will have an MRI on Friday to see if the rib is compressing a nerve and, naturally, he is in a lot of pain.
