Injured Riders Update (Canberra, Friday)

Jockey Winona Costin has been stood down from her final two riding engagements at Canberra today after aggravating an old injury to her left knee.

Winona experienced some pain to her knee following her ride in race 1. She was examined and continued to ride during the day but has been stood down following her ride in race 5 due to experiencing further pain.

She will need to be assessed before fulfilling her riding engagements at Scone tomorrow.

Jockey Chad Lever has been stood down from his final two rides at Canberra today after aggravating an old shoulder injury.

Chad was stood down following his ride in race 6 and will need to provide clearance before fulfilling his riding engagements at Scone tomorrow.
