Apprentice jockey Stacey Metcalfe was dislodged at around the 900m in Race 2 at Scone on Friday, 12th July 2019, when riding Sunday Swindler. Stacey fell awkwardly and was suffering from pain to her right shoulder.
[Update at 5pm on Tuesday 24th September]: Stacey received her full clearance from Dr Duckworth last week and has returned to trackwork. Stacey will be back race riding at Scone this Friday for her master, Allan Denham.
[Update at 3pm on Thursday 15th August]: Stacey saw Dr Duckworth this week and has been approved to start physio on Monday, with an aim to be back riding trackwork by September.
[Update at 10am on Friday 26th July]: Stacey has a fractured shoulder and Dr. Duckworth doesn't think she requires surgery, but has advised she will encounter a two-month healing period.
[Update at 10am on Monday 15th July]: Racing NSW's Dr. Duckworth has reported that Stacey has a fractured scapula and is seeing him today.
