Kath Bell-Pitomac (who rode Stella Miss during a fall at Tamworth on Sunday, 10th March 2019), was diagnosed with a diffuse axonal brain injury and has been struggling with fatigue and eyesight issues since her fall, but has been gradually improving.
[Update at 10:30am on Monday, 6th January 2020]: Kath Bell-Pitomac has received a clearance to return to race riding with a six-week review. Kath will be riding at Mudgee on Tuesday (7th January).
[Update at 8am on Wednesday, 2nd October 2019]: Kath has been cleared to return to light trackwork duties and she has also been signed off by her Neurologist. He does not need to see her again unless her symptoms return.
[Update at 11am on Wednesday, 14th August 2019]: Kath has been approved by her GP to return to light duties/ground work for one hour, five days per week. Kath has also been approved by her GP, Neurologist & Physio to commence riding her kids' pony for two days per week. The next focus is getting Kath's vision back to normal. The Specialist has provided Kath with new glasses that will start training her eyes to focus straighter and clearer.
