Jockey Heavelon Van Der Hoven was dislodged following the running of Race 2 at Goulburn.
He was subsequently trodden on by his mount after the fall.
Heavelon was initially assessed by ambulance officers and felt right to fulfill the remainder of his engagements however he has now reported that he is experiencing pain to his shoulder, lower back and knee.
He has been stood down from his remaining rides and is now being taken to hospital for further examination.
Update 6pm: Heavelon has been discharged from hospital. His scans were clear.
