Wagga-based apprentice Hannah Williams has a busy few days ahead with four rides at Canberra (Friday), a full book of seven rides at Young (Saturday) and four mounts at Albury (Monday).
The 22-year-old rider has booted home 16 winners to date and has an attractive book of mounts at Young, headed by Delivered in the feature event, the South West Slopes Credit Union & Young Hotel Young Cup (1600m).
Delivered, prepared by Chris Heywood, appears the one to beat having been placed behind Loving Cilla at Wagga on Cup Day before runner-up to Kirkton on Parkes Cup Day.
Williams's other mounts at Young are Defiant Award (Race 1), Underwood (Race 2), Kuraver (Race 3), Valorhesse (Race 4), Rock 'n' Tori (Race 5) and Bonhomie (Race 7).
Chris Durham from Young Turf Club said he is expecting a good-sized crowd to Saturday's race meeting.
"Patrons can drive or get the bus out to Young Gold Cup Day," he said. "There'll be local and interstate bookmakers with a free bus leaving the Young Hotel & Australian Hotel at midday with everyone welcome to enjoy a great day of racing.
"The buses are courtesy of Loaders Coaches and tickets for raceday are just $15 at the gate, with pensioners $10 and this includes a racebook with kids entering free."
