It's not just horses that can qualify for all the excitement of the Newhaven Park Country Championships Final at Royal Randwick on Saturday 1st April.

Goulburn Race Club has announced a great 'at the track' prize for racegoers as part of its Southern Wildcard Raceday on Friday 17th March.

Racegoers will have the opportunity to win an all-expenses paid weekend for four people attending Day 1 of The Star Championships on April 1 at Royal Randwick. The prize includes:

• 4 Reserve Tickets to Day 1 of The Championships at Royal Randwick Saturday 1st April
• Accommodation for 4 people Saturday 1st April (including breakfast)
• Sydney Harbour Lunch Cruise for 4 people on Sunday 2nd April
• Value of $2500

To be in the running racegoers must be on track at Goulburn's Southern Wildcard Raceday on Friday 17th March where they can enter the random draw at various locations on course.

Goulburn's CEO Robyn Fife says it’s a great opportunity for the club to value add the Country Championships experience for local racegoers.

"It gives people another great incentive to attend our Country Championships Southern Wildcard Raceday on Friday 17th March," Ms Fife said.

"Then two weeks later they could be trackside at Royal Randwick for the final ... hopefully cheering on a Goulburn-trained horse or two as well."

Ms Fife says having the wildcard raceday on a Friday creates the opportunity for the club to deliver a vibrant country racing experience.

"A Friday afternoon at the races is a great way to get the weekend started big! We are inviting locals to start their weekend early and get trackside for what should be a great afternoon of racing and socialising.

"We are also expecting a big contingent of owners on the day with showcase prizemoney on offer across all races."
