Damon Budler Successful In Nowra Rising Star Heat

Damon Budler scored his first Rising Star Apprentice Series win for the season after taking out heat 13 at Nowra on Sunday (8 January).
Budler showed plenty of patience to partner Vella Fox home first for trainer Gratz Vella in the Nowra Rising Star heat.
Budler was last in the field of six but took off 500m from home, rounding up the field and going on to score.
He defeated Olivia Chambers (Artieos) and Ellen Hennessy (Lily Elsie) who finished third.
