NSW Country Race Meetings Status (Friday 6 Dec & Saturday 7 Dec)

The following update is provided for country race meetings on Friday (6th December) and Saturday (7th December 2024).

MUDGEE (Friday 6 December)
The track is presently rated a Soft 6 and the racecourse will be subject to a Stewards inspection later this morning. The track has not received some of the heavier rainfall forecast earlier in the week. At this stage with the improved weather forecast, the race meeting is expected to proceed as scheduled.

ALBURY (Saturday 7 December)
The track is presently rated a Heavy 8 and at this stage there is the prospect of storms and heavy rainfall on raceday. The weather is being monitored and Corowa Racecourse - which is both drier (Good 4) and has less rainfall forecast for Saturday - is being considered as an option for a transfer. This will be revisited on Friday.

GUNNEDAH (Saturday 7 December)
The track is presently rated a Soft 6. With only modest rainfall forecast the race meeting is expected to proceed as scheduled.

COOMA (Saturday 7 December - non-TAB)
The racecourse has benefited from rainfall in recent weeks and is presently a Good 4. Some rainfall is expected in the next few days including on Saturday, however, at this stage the race meeting is expected to proceed as scheduled.

COWRA (Saturday 7 December - non-TAB)
The track is presently rated a Soft 6 and the racecourse will be subject to a Stewards inspection this afternoon. The weather forecast is for possible heavy rainfall on Saturday, with other options being considered.
