Canberra Races (Friday) - Postponed
Following an inspection of the Canberra course proper by Racing NSW Stewards and Canberra Racing Club Officials at 3pm today (Thursday 4 August), the track has been found to be waterlogged following significant rainfall in the preceding 24 hours and given the state of the track and the forecast for continued rain during at least this evening, tomorrow’s race meeting has been postponed.
The track has received 100mm in the past seven days and 80mm over the last 24 hours.
