Canberra Races (Friday 20th August) - Abandoned
Canberra Racing Club has received advice from the ATC's Chief Health Officer that their request for an exemption to run the Canberra race meeting at Thoroughbred Park on Friday 20 August has not been approved. Consequently, the meeting has now been abandoned.
The CHO agreed to review the club's request in one weeks’ time for Canberra's next race meeting on Friday 3 September. The club will continue to actively work with ACT health to secure an exemption for future meetings and an exemption for ACT Jockeys to be able to ride at race meetings in regional NSW.
