Samantha Clenton has continued her outstanding run of form by taking out the fifth heat of the 2019/20 Racing NSW Rising Star Series at Warwick Farm.
Clenton returned from serious injury only months ago and has shown amazing determination and skill to carry on her winning way.
The apprentice rode a winner at Quirindi last Sunday and then headed to Port Macquarie on Tuesday where she was the star of the program, bagging four winners on the card.
From just the two rides at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, Clenton powered down the outside on the Chris Waller-trained Plenty ($16) to snare the Bowermans Office Furniture Rising Star Series Heat (1400m).
Clenton defeated Jenny Duggan aboard Shadow Flight ($20) by half a head with Billy Owen on Cisco Bay ($12) just under a length away in third place.
Samantha is now in fourth spot on the Rising Star ladder with nine points, with a keen contest developing for the lead that sees Yvette Lewis, Qin Yong and Billy Owen all on 12 points.
On Tuesday, Georgina McDonnell celebrated her first Rising Star victory when she won on Gold Rhapsody ($4.40) at Port Macquarie.
Yvette Lewis was runner-up on Triage ($3 favourite) and her five points pushed her up to share the lead on the point score.
