RNSW Benchmark Programming & Handicapping (2nd Appraisal & Review) - Close Tues (31 May)

Racing NSW - Benchmark Programming and Handicapping
Second Appraisal and Review
Six month period, 1 November 2010 – 30 April 2011

Call for submissions
The new benchmark programming and handicapping model was introduced in October 2009. As per its commitment at the time of launching, Racing NSW conducted a comprehensive review of the new and innovative system in 2010.

After considering industry feedback and consultation some enhancements were made to the system which took effect 1 November 2010.

At the time of announcing these changes, Racing NSW committed to conducting a six-month review of the overall system including the changes introduced.

The sixth month period ended on 30 April 2011, and Racing NSW is now conducting the review.

Submissions are invited from industry participants, both individuals and groups. Responses will also be sought from the NSW Trainers, Jockeys and Owners Association on behalf of their members.

Please include in your response any statistics, comments or examples of your viewpoint. If you wish you can also provide general answers to the following three questions:-

• How has the system worked for you, and why?
• What parts of the system didn’t work, and why?
• What would you change, and why?

Submissions close Tuesday, 31 May 2011 and should be directed to:-
