Racing NSW is pleased to announce two new appointments in the Central West Racing Office and Northern Rivers Racing Association.
CDRA-Deputy Chairman of Stewards, Matthew Purse: Matthew joined Racing NSW in 2017 and has quickly risen through the ranks from a Trainee Steward in the metropolitan area and after a brief tenure with the CWRO has now been promoted to Deputy Chairman of that region.
NRRA-Deputy Chairman of Stewards, Ruben Loughlin: Ruben initially joined RNSW as a cadet handicapper in 2016 before transferring departments and completing his Steward traineeship within the metropolitan area.
Both young men have shown during their tenure a high degree of integrity and will be an asset to their respective regions.
RNSW has a training program in place to develop both professional and personal skills to ensure the industry benefits from having officials that will provide good governance for all its stakeholders.
The traineeship gives the aspiring stewards and racing professionals a broad platform of skills and importantly, the opportunity to work at race meetings across the metropolitan and provincial areas with stewards who have a number of years within the industry with both local and international experience.
